CONDITION:
Mvt: Running with rapid beat and occasionally stopping, fully wound, quick and short balance motion, escapement function seems consistent, plates show excellent gilding, little oxide on steel components; alarm function will be fine with the correct hour hand; the watch is designed so that one places the hour hand with hanging tab beneath its hub into the slot in the alarm hand, with both hands pointing in the same direction; the hub must be tight, so that it carries the hour wheel upward with it as the time changes, shutting off the alarm strike; when the hand again falls into the slot, the alarm is released, striking with fine tone on gong; dial with small flakes around upper winding hole for the time train, light hl or glaze FS below center, some scattered mild additional glaze FS elsewhere; hands looking mint but the hour incorrect and damaged at the hub; original case shows little wear, some MFS to back center, no dents or dings, beautiful detail with hardly any reduction, faint tarnish; tight bow & pendant original; good domed glass crystal. A very interesting example in wonderful case.
